Celebrate World Food Day October 16 and Help Fight Childhood Malnutrition
October 16 is World Food Day and we will once again be hosting a virtual race. Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for the Power of 5 and the issue of childhood malnutrition. In addition to providing essential nutrients, our programs help improve overall wellness and build immunity.
This year, the Covid-19 epidemic has been especially hard on these children and those who operate our distribution programs. UNICEF estimates that some countries have seen 75 to 100 percent reduction in “essential nutrition services coverage,” particularly in areas that were already experiencing humanitarian crises. It seems very clear that the repercussions of the pandemic are causing significant harm to children.
Please join us by participating in our World Food Day virtual race or making a donation here. Our goal is to get more than 1,200 registrations and make it our biggest event ever… to help meet the biggest need ever.
Registration is just $10 and 100 percent of the money goes to help more malnourished children get the nutrients they need to survive, thrive, and grow. Your friends, family and colleagues are also welcome to join us.
As always, we thank you for your support. The Power of 5 is a life-changing program for tens of thousands of malnourished children and their families and Amway is proud of the difference that we’re making in the world.
